Description: This year, Recycle Your Electricals is launching "The Great Cable Challenge" – a nationwide campaign aimed at tackling the millions of cables sitting idle across UK households to put the copper inside them to better use. We have set a goal of 1 million cables recycled across the UK, calling on people to bag up and recycle at least one cable this October.
We're calling on households, local authorities, retailers, schools and community projects across the UK to take part in the challenge, either by organising their old pop-up collection points or by promoting The Great Cable Challenge and encouraging others to join in. For individuals, simply bag up your old cables - and any other electricals with a plug, battery or cable - and visit www.recycleyourelectricals.org.uk to find your local donation and recycling points.

Description: This year, Beko Plc is proud to take part once again in the International E-Waste Day initiative to raise awareness amongst its employees about the issue of growing E-waste and promote the responsible reuse and recyclability of electrical and electronic products. Last year, our efforts resulted in the collection of 180kg of e-waste from our locations in the UK.

Between the 14th and 25th of October, we are working with REPIC to set up collection points in our offices in UK and Ireland, making it easier for our colleagues to dispose of unwanted electrical items and ensure they are recycled responsibly.

We are also going to be promoting this action via our social media channels, hopefully motivating the wider public to search their homes for any electrical or electronic items they no longer need and locate the local donation or recycling points.
