    Description:

    The World Resources Forum Association is holding its flagship conference WRF21 on October 12-14 under the theme of “A Green Deal for Sustainable Resources” with a focus on three main topic streams: primary resources, secondary resources and circular economy.



    The conference is co-hosted by the Ghanaian Ministry for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI) and the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment and takes place in a hybrid format: three days of online sessions and two small-scale in-person events in Switzerland (October 13th) and Ghana (October 14th).



    The Ghana Event on the third day will focus on electrical and electronic waste with the main objective to improve the conditions for sustainable management and disposal of electronic waste in Ghana. This regional event is commissioned by the BMZ, through the E-Waste Programme which is a technical cooperation implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in partnership with MESTI.

    Description: AppCyclers' effort to provide sustainable solutions to the e-waste menace seeks to embark on a robust four-day program dubbed E-waste Collection & Repair Drive under the theme Be Responsible which is towards the International E-Waste Day celebration. The E-waste Collection & Repair Drive is an educational program designed to raise awareness among the general public, women and children about the extent to which e-waste is a problem and sustainable ways to solve this menace.    

    AppCyclers have designed a four-day e-waste collection and repair drive project towards the international e-waste day dubbed “ bE Responsible” which aims to sensitize people towards the harmful effects of disposing of e-waste indiscriminately and also use innovative collection mechanisms of e-waste.

    1. The project will provide awareness to the general public, but more importantly, women and children towards the harmful effects of disposing of e-waste indiscriminately.

    2. It will also facilitate the collection of non-bulk e-waste.

    3. To reduce the amount of e-waste from the environment and adoption of the 3Rs
