    Members Photo Competition

    Description: EERA are holding a competition for Members to collect and share photographs from Members with the topic “Unusual Small E-WASTE discoveries

    Between now and the 6th September we have asked Members to take a look around their facilities, or local municipal collection sites or locality etc. to find good examples of old / unusual small WEEE.

    The entries will be considered by the Board and the winners announced at our Members Meeting on 4th Oct. and the winning photos shared on our Social Media on the 14th Oct to celebrate the Int. E-WASTE event.

    Our Members operate over 800 E-WASTE re-use and treatment facilities in twenty-two countries across the continent of Europe.

    Description: Launched in 2010, E-Reciklaža has become the biggest WEEE recycling facility in the whole Balkan region. The main activity of the company is to recycle the waste of electric and electronic equipment. E-Reciklaža has international experience in waste management around the globe, regarding e-scrap materials disposal/treatment/recovery.
    As part of IEWD, E-reciklaža will partner with the Center for the Promotion of Science in facilitating the workshop with the goal of educating children on the importance of waste disposal and recycling. This occasion will be used to involve the media in promoting sustainable development among the general public. Also, together with a local radio station, we will be organizing a cleanup of the region's favorite spot for picnic and recreation, the Hill of Kamenica, near the city of Niš. This activity is promoted through short announcements every hour on the radio and posted on social media platforms, with the purpose of raising awareness of the negative impact that e-waste has on natural habitats.

    Description: EBG will be marking International E-Waste Day 2021 with a week of the following activities: - Free Public Collection Day Events - WEEE4Future Public Campaign via Media Launch and Social Media. Our aims are to engaging kids to count, characterize, collect and contribute their e-waste in Belgrade. The target audience is school and university students (10-14 year olds), engaging with 70 grammar schools across the Belgrade. The project initially started in May. The aim is to gamify the process of collecting e-waste allowing schools to enter details on e-waste found in their homes.

    Description: E-Reciklaza will focus on Press/Media activities with description role and activities in WEEE processing, reuse, recycling and recovery schemes. It should focus on the improvement of WEE collection system, establish a strategic network of collection points at municipality level, with clearly defined motivation schemes for citizens and utility WEE collection companies.
    Main objective is to analyse state-of-the-art collection and logistic systems for small WEE, batteries, plastic and other materials, in order to increase recovery of secondary raw materials. Since WEEE collection and processing require strong support from stakeholders, in order to effectively identify challenges, all project activities will be compliant with aims of relevant institutions that are responsible for appropriate data collection, monitoring, validation and controlling.
