Description: The Information for Recyclers Platform, known as the I4R Platform, aims at providing a wide range of information and guidance on how to handle Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

The I4R platform enables the exchange of information between manufacturers, treatment facilities, and preparation for reuse/reuse operators of (W)EEE about the presence and location of materials and components that need separate treatment in accordance with the requirements set out in Annex VII and relying on Article 15 of the WEEE Directive, e.g. batteries, printed circuit boards or plastics containing brominated flame retardants.

APPLiA and DIGITALEUROPE have created this single central online platform where recyclers can access recycling information at product category level.

The European Power Tool Association (EPTA) has recently joined the I4R platform and contributed with a new product category on Power tools and four new product fiches.

grand total of 47 product fiches in six product categories are currently at the user’s disposal.

Producer associations are invited to take advantage of this tool. For any questions, please contact here.

Description: MIREC RECYCLING N.V. supports companies and organisations to reuse and recycle their surplus and waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) safely and sustainably in an efficient and environmentally responsible manner. We optimise the reuse of electronics (e-waste) by refurbishing products as a whole or components and giving them a second life. When the products are no longer usable, we will, as a CENELEC certified processor, destroy them in an environmentally responsible manner, whereby important raw materials such as plastics, metals and precious metals are recovered on a large scale. In this way, MIREC is at the basis of the circular economy. With offices in Belgium and the Netherlands, we offer recycling solutions throughout the Benelux. MIREC is part of Remondis, one of the largest waste processing companies in Europe.
