Description: C-SERVEES, is a Horizon 2020 funded project, that is developing and testing new circular business models for four products: washing machines,  televisions, printers and an access monitoring device used in telecoms. The models are based on the principles of the circular economy and involve a rich consortium that includes research organisations, manufacturers (based in Germany, Hungary & Turkey), WEEE recyclers and ICT developers.  Amongst other things, the new business models will seek to prevent e-waste through design for longevity, repair and refurbishment. We have reached an exciting stage in the project where new products are being developed and the circular economy business models are being tested. On International E-Waste Day, we will launch an animation outlining the project and its aims, objectives and results so far.

    About

The WEEE Forum a.i.s.b.l. is an international association representing forty producer responsibility organisations across the globe. Together with our members, we are at the forefront of turning the extended producer responsibility principle into an effective electronic waste management policy approach through our combined knowledge of the technical, business and operational aspects of collection, logistics, de-pollution, processing, preparing for reuse and reporting of e-waste. Our mission is to be the world’s foremost e-waste competence centre excelling in the implementation of the circularity principle.
