We have also prepared an Instagram post about International E-Waste Day and the contribution of our organization in highlighting the importance of the e-waste role, where we presented our joint projects with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).

Key topics include insights from the E-Waste EXPO 2024, national e-waste monitoring initiatives in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, and discussions on the role of collaboration in tackling e-waste challenges.

 

Description: To celebrate International E-Waste Day 2025, The Center “Cooperation for Sustainable Development” launched an awareness campaign on Instagram in collaboration with our partners PlastNet and CSD.Center. The posts focused on this year’s theme — Critical Raw Materials — explaining why elements such as lithium, cobalt, copper, and rare earths are vital for green and digital technologies. The campaign highlighted how many of these materials can be recovered from unused electronic devices lying in our homes. By encouraging people to bring their old gadgets to official collection points instead of throwing them away, we aimed to promote responsible e-waste management and raise awareness of the circular economy in Kazakhstan.
