Description: Electrical and electronic equipment is now a part of our daily life. However, when this equipment become waste electrical and electronic equipment (e-waste), harmful substances in e-waste can cause significant environmental problems, if not properly managed.

We will be releasing a short video for International E-Waste Day outlining our work in treating e-waste. It will be hosted on our Instagram account and will carry the following message:

As part of Extended Producer Responsibility, we established our own Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling plants in Eskişehir and Bolu in 2014 to reuse old products as resources and return them to nature.

We collect old products from our customers, regardless of their brand, then recycle them, and give them a new life in the most sustainable way; as secondary raw materials. We minimize the environmental impact of the products throughout their life cycle by recycling refrigerators at our e-waste recycling plant in Eskişehir, and other white goods and small domestic appliances in Bolu. Materials such as plastic, iron, copper, and aluminium obtained from recycled electrical and electronic wastes in our recycling plants are returned to the economy in accordance with our resource efficiency policy.

Through replacing the old products that consume high amount of energy and water with new eco-friendly ones since 2014, we saved 315 GWh energy and 6.4 million tons of water. Also, we prevented 155,000 tons of CO2 emissions.

With our vision “Respecting the World, Respected Worldwide”, we continue to use resources in the most efficient way and contribute to the circular economy to protect our planet.

Description: C-SERVEES, is a Horizon 2020 funded project, that is developing and testing new circular business models for four products: washing machines,  televisions, printers and an access monitoring device used in telecoms. The models are based on the principles of the circular economy and involve a rich consortium that includes research organisations, manufacturers (based in Germany, Hungary & Turkey), WEEE recyclers and ICT developers.  Amongst other things, the new business models will seek to prevent e-waste through design for longevity, repair and refurbishment.

We have reached an exciting stage in the project where new products are being developed and the circular economy business models are being tested.

On International E-Waste Day, we will launch an animation outlining the project and its aims, objectives and results so far.

Description: Proses Makina is producing plants for refining and recycling systems. Thus, precious metals and rare metals attainable from e-waste, catalytic converter/spent catalyst, jewellery and mining fields. Catalytic converters contain PGMs and it's possible to recovery as Platinum, Palladium, Rhodium. Also e-waste has a precious metals and our e-waste recovery systems give you to Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium, Copper. Owing to our rare metals recovery processes, such as Cobalt, Molybdenum, Tantalum, Niobium metals recover in high purities. Also Indium, Iridium and Ruthenium metals can recover by our high tech systems. Proses Makina provides its customer to special designing, engineered solutions, technical support. Our machines have been installed in overseas plants and continue to do more.

On the occasion of the International E-Waste Day,  Proses Makina aims to publish their current articles on the importance of e-waste recycling and the examination of recycling methods of e-waste with the vision zero waste. In this way, we aim to create awareness.
