Digital Circular Economy for Climate Protection
27-28 May 2020, KKL Lucerne

In 2020, the WEEE Forum, the voice of thirty-six, soon thirty-nine, electronic waste producer responsibility organisations in Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and Oceania, will celebrate 18 years of excellence as a leader in the e-waste sector.

To mark this occasion, a special international conference of the WEEE Forum will be held on 27-28 May 2020 in the beautiful city of Lucerne in Switzerland. Switzerland has been chosen as the perfect location for the celebrations, for the country has the longest track record of e-waste management in the whole world. SENS eRecycling, the éminence grise among the world’s collection schemes and one of the founders of the WEEE Forum, will be the conference host and co-organiser.

In sync with the new European Commission’s vision of making Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050, the conference will centre on what the e-waste sector is doing to mitigate the climate crisis and how digitalisation across the e-value chain is contributing to establishing a Circular Economy. It will discuss what is needed to have all actors contribute to the Circular Economy.

The WEEE Forum will welcome 220 delegates from different strands of the sector to engage in interactive discussions with senior EU and government officials, captains of industry and society’s movers and shakers.

We invite you to save the date of the conference and will circulate further details early 2020.
