Lucía Herreras Martínez, works for the WEEE Forum since 2013. With responsibility for the technical file at the WEEE Forum, Lucia manages the WEEE Forum technical team, and is in charge of the technical tools and resources such as the Key Figures Database, LibraWEEE, WEEE Directory and the Operations Task Forces and working groups.

Lucía coordinates and participates in the technical activities associated with the various EU funded projects in which the WEEE Forum participates. Lucía completed her bachelor's degree in Marine Sciences from the University of Vigo (Spain) in 2000, and holds a master’s degree in Environmental Impact Assessment and Auditing (2003, University of Barcelona).

After graduating, she participated in European Projects related to gender equality. Lucía has over 7 years’ experience working as an environmental consultant in a law firm, its clients being mainly in the private industry sector (automotive and electronic). She is an internal auditor for ISO 14,001 and 9,001, WEEELABEX trainer, and developed a legal and technical auditing procedure for WEEE treatment plants.

Before joining the WEEE Forum, she worked for Fundación Ecotic, a Spanish WEEE compliance scheme, and member of the WEEE Forum. Lucía speaks Spanish (native), English and French.
