Description: Trans-Global Events, organiser of the E-Waste World Conference, will launch a social media campaign urging consumers to search their homes for redundant/unused electronics, photograph it, post it, and then dispose of it via proper channels or alternatively find their devices a new home. Using the hashtag #amnesteee we will attempt to educate the public as to how and where they can recycle electronics, the impact of WEEE on the environment and humanity, as well as how their actions can contribute to a circular economy in electronics and a more sustainable future, much in the same way that they have become engaged with the negative aspects of single-use plastics.

Description: We will be holding an event at Janet Nash House in Durham to raise awareness for International E-Waste Day. The EWRG and CEF staff will be getting behind this and raising money for charity. We have invited members of the press including local radio stations to cover the event and the activities below:

Description: Inspired by the WEEE Forum IEWD, we are running an event in which staff will bring in their e-waste in exchange for a veggie BBQ breakfast roll, and we will then donate that e-waste to a London based charity for terminally ill children which then processes the e-waste and outs the proceeds towards the charity's causes.

Description: Working with Electrical Waster Recycling Group (EWRG), Lumicom will be hosting an Education day where end users of EEE will be educated around responsibility, obligations and the circular economy. We will show how their collected waste will be treated and what the consequences could be for incorrect WEEE management.
This education day will be promoted through all of our social media channels alongside EWRG. We will be promoting this to coincide with IEWD This will be an open event where anyone who is an end user of EEE (from councils to contractors) can come along and learn more about WEEE management and compliance.

Description: To mark the International E-waste Day, WEEE Scotland are opening their doors to the general public wishing to ethically dispose of their no longer wanted electrical and electronic equipment. The equipment we receive will be processed at our facility in line with best practice guidelines. By bringing in your electronics you support local jobs and help protect the environment from hazards associated with inappropriate e-waste treatment.

The equipment can be dropped off at 249 Govan Road, G51 1HJ, Glasgow on Monday 14th October between 9:00-15:00.

The offer excludes CRT monitors, fridges and fluorescent tubes. To dispose of this equipment, please contact your local council.
