Description: Electrão (Waste Management Association) is the main take back system for electric and electronic equipment (EEE) operating in Portugal, with a market share of more than 70%, and it is the only entity to manage three waste streams: electronics, batteries and packaging waste.

For celebrating the International E-Waste Day 2019, we are planning a wide range of activities to raise awareness of the incorrect management of electronic waste, the need to promote a correct segregation and collection system that maximises recycling, and the impact of these on the environment and climate change, and in the context of the circular economy.
Between 10th and 19th October we are planning the following: press campaign and press release, digital marketing and website campaign, public collection campaign, launch of a quizz for schools and launch of a partnership with a logistic entity for creating more 600 collection points (for mobile phones).
