Description:
CAMPAIGN TO AVOID THE GENERATION OF WEEE WASTE COSTA RICA

Within the context of the global emergency COVID19, our waste recovery company proposes to reduce and / or avoid the generation of electrical and electronic waste in Costa Rica; through a digital campaign. With relevant information, during the week of International WEEE Day.

Some of the activities promoted internally and externally of the organization are shown below:

As part of the celebration of the International Day of Electrical and Electronic Waste, * Eco-Resolva * invites you to contribute your bit from your desk. * Removing all unnecessary emails like spam, drafts, unread inbox, etc. from your email *

* Why is it an important contribution? *

The mails when sent, emit a low carbon estimate, around 0.3 grams of CO2 each.

The highest estimate is 50 grams of carbon per email sent, so about 4 billion metric tons of carbon are generated each year worldwide.

* The carbon emitted by these emails is equivalent to that emitted by 890 million cars worldwide. *

So, if you want to help the environment, try to delete those emails that you don't need to have and try to send emails only when necessary.

Description: Our institution is a leader in environmental management programs in Costa Rica, the constant training and the time they give us to carry it out makes a difference to other sectors, the application of programs such as the PGAI and its compliance have notably helped our students and the impact to the community.

One of the subjects that I have less knowledge of is the management of electrical and electronic waste. For International E-Waste Day we will be undertaking a collection and awareness raising initiative to promote the better management of e-waste.
