1. Self-directed course “Disconnect the Impact: Comprehensive Management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)”
This 10-hour online course, organized in collaboration with the Uladislao Gámez Solano Institute for Professional Development of the Ministry of Public Education (MEP), is available to all MEP staff, including implementing professionals, teachers, technicians, and administrative personnel. Its purpose is to strengthen capacities in the management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), providing knowledge on classification, regulations, reduction strategies, reuse, recycling, and safe final disposal. Through interactive content, participants explore the environmental and health impacts of inadequate management, acquiring tools to implement sustainable practices and collection programs in educational centers, fostering an institutional culture of sustainability and circular economy.
2. WEEE Collection Campaign – October
During the month of October, in one of the central MEP buildings, an awareness campaign will be carried out to promote the responsible management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Staff members may bring small household devices, such as cell phones, chargers, or electronic accessories, for proper collection and treatment. This activity aims to reduce pollution, encourage recycling, and strengthen environmental awareness in the workplace, turning each participant into an agent of change toward more sustainable management of technological resources.
