Description:

Eco-Tronics Africa will host a community awareness and collection campaign themed “Recovering Critical Resources from E-Waste for a Sustainable Future.” The activity will take place in Dodoma, Tanzania, bringing together youth groups, schools, and local recyclers to educate the public on how valuable materials can be recovered from discarded electronics. The event will feature exhibitions on safe dismantling, e-waste collection points, and an innovation booth showcasing local recycling initiatives. Participants will be encouraged to bring unused or broken devices from their homes for proper disposal. In collaboration with the National Environment Management Council (NEMC) and local ICT stakeholders, this initiative aims to promote responsible e-waste management, support circular economy goals, and protect Tanzania’s environment.
