Description: In celebration of International E-Waste Day 2025 initiated by the WEEE Forum and its members, APCEN will launch a dynamic social media campaign across various platforms to raise awareness about the importance of responsible e-waste management in Vietnam.

Under the theme Recycle your e-waste – it’s critical!, the campaign will encourage individuals and businesses to declutter their homes and offices by identifying unused or broken electronics, such as old smartphones, electric vehicles, solar panels cables, and game consoles.

APCEN (be along with Green Transformation and Sustainability Network) will address Critical Raw Materials (CRMs), the elements that are mined in only a handful of countries and that are crucial to foster the green and digital transition. We will also promote responsible e-waste management ways.

By highlighting the value of these discarded items and promoting local e-waste collection events, we aim to educate the public on the environmental benefits of recycling electronic waste. This initiative aligns with the WEEE Forum's mission to advocate for circular economy practices and improve operational knowledge in managing e-waste, contributing to a more sustainable future for our communities.

About

The WEEE Forum a.i.s.b.l. is an international association representing 49 producer responsibility organisations across the globe. Together with our members, we are at the forefront of turning the extended producer responsibility principle into an effective electronic waste management policy approach through our combined knowledge of the technical, business and operational aspects of collection, logistics, de-pollution, processing, preparing for reuse and reporting of e-waste. Our mission is to be the world’s foremost e-waste competence centre excelling in the implementation of the circularity principle.
