Description: SMART CLUB VISION: We offer a thorough, current and relevant program that develops children intellectually and emotionally.
We want the training of children from the point of view of the ability to reflect on the world, to formulate and solve problems based on the relationship of knowledge from different fields.
The educational approach must encourage the child's approach to nature and teach him about the importance of recycling and other beneficial activities for the environment. Through play, the child can gradually learn about the need for differentiated waste collection and about the consequences of various forms of pollution and the use of available resources. Children love to do things considered by adults to be useful, especially if they see adults doing them, and the recycling activity should be a family effort that comes naturally.

We want to get involved in the promotion of environmental protection and to participate with an activity in the celebration of the International Day of Electrical Waste Recycling 2022.
We will carry out a campaign to recycle the small electronic waste that is forgotten in the drawers of homes around the world.
In this activity, we want to involve the whole community represented by the children registered at Smart Club and their families.

INTERNATIONAL RECYCLING DAY OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC WASTE

Let’s Save the Earth Together!

Students of Secondary School No. 78 brought electrical and electronic waste for recycling. The activity was turn into a contest, each class of students having created  a poster entitled " Let’s Save the Earth Together!”. We were not the only ones involved into such a demanding activity – our partner was ECOTIC Association. Thanks a bunch, ECOTIC!

Due to School of Ecoterriens, the wastes students collected, followed the path of recycling, being transformed into other products which won’t harm our dear Planet any  more.

The child educated in the spirit of recycling, will be the responsible adult of tomorrow!

The recycling activity at the "Luceafarul" Secondary School, Bucharest, is called "USEFUL RECYCLING FOR A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT" and will include Type of activity: ecological education and environmental protection. It will include an exhibition to protect nature from WEEE, a practical activity of making some objects from recyclable materials and separate collection of electrical waste. Coordinator: Prof. Claudia Bota We don't live in a perfect world, and we big people often leave a lot to be desired by our behavior towards our fellows, everything that doesn't surround us. Things cannot go on like this forever, and our hope is that future generations will not make the same mistakes we did. We know that every generation is different, that every child is unique, if they are educated with LOVE and RESPONSIBILITY, we can hope for a better future. It's never too late to learn from others, even if they may be younger than you. Over the years, we have tried to find the best possible education for our children. However, this field (education) will remain a territory where new paths can always be opened, and the question: "How is it good to educate in order to arouse children's interest in knowing more?" - will not be answered definitively. We aim to create an interactive education in which the discipline of general culture (geography, biology, mathematics, Romanian) and arts (cutting, gluing, making, sewing) coexist harmoniously. The materials from which different objects are made are not expensive, many know them as simple waste, but they can be made into much more, even ART. We are a consumer society that no longer knows what to do with waste, and what children don't show can be an example. Therefore, the solution is EDUCATION, which should not last only while they are at school, but for their whole life. The aim of the project: raising children's awareness of the effects of pollution - a current global danger General objective: - Informing children about the types of pollution and effects on the environment; - Formation of household waste management and recycling capacities; - Developing creative abilities by reusing household waste as material for making toys. Specific objective: - To identify the factors that cause pollution; - To recognize, in concrete situations, the types of pollution and effects on the environment and on people's health; - To collect household waste that can be used to make toys; - To make toys, ornaments and artistic works from recyclable materials. Expected results: - At least 60% of the students will be able to talk about pollution (causes, effects, methods of prevention and countermeasures) - At least 40% of the target group will develop current skills for separating household waste and keeping public places clean; - children will be able to make toys from recyclable materials according to their own idea. Impact of the project: Students will be much more sensitive to the problems of pollution and the environment, they will better manage their own waste and develop their creativity.

Description: On the occasion of the International Day of Electronic Waste Recycling, we started a new recycling campaign. The children got to know the ECOTIC mascot and the collection containers. At school, we have containers for batteries and accumulators, light bulbs and neon lights, electrical and electronic, but we also collect plastic caps. The children watched a film through which they understood what we can do with electrical waste. They understood that we can also collect from neighbouring families, friends, not only from the personal family. The best lesson for a child is when an entire community is mobilized.
