Description: We celebrate International E-Waste Day 2022 to focus on the reuse, repair, and recycling of small electronics. Our purpose is to repurpose.

Due to their small size, items such as cell phones, electric toothbrushes, toasters, and cameras are often discarded incorrectly, and they make up a significant proportion of the eight percent of all e-waste that is thrown in general waste bins which are subsequently landfilled or incinerated. This means the important raw materials they contain cannot be extracted and are lost. On top of this, small appliances are easily stored in cupboards, garages, basements, and attics and are quickly forgotten about.

In Europe alone, up to 1.4 kg of e-waste per inhabitant ends up in the general waste bin every year.

That's a lot of E-waste!

Clear off your shelves, your closets, and that corner of your garage you have been meaning to get to.

e-CYCLING Collection

Description: Electronic Waste is one of the fastest growing waste streams. It may come as a surprise, but it is estimated that in 2021, 57.4 million tons of e-waste will be produced worldwide. Unfortunately, only 17.4% of that waste is properly recycled. Statistics like this is why International E-Waste Day was created.

To celebrate, Good News Project will be collecting electronics at GNP E-CYCLING warehouse. This event is open to everyone and the cost is 45 cents per pound. Smoke detectors can be recycled for $15 each.

Clean out your basement, keep toxins out of landfills, and Be The Good in the world!
