Description:
Collection Campaign of Old Appliances at 20 Schools Across Slovenia for 20 Years of ZEOS

"From E-Waste to the Stars"

In October, as part of the International E-Waste Day, Slovenia will host an awareness-raising and collection campaign titled "From E-Waste to the Stars", taking place from October 6 to 24, 2025 at 20 selected schools across the country. These schools have collaborated with us most frequently over the years-whether through collection campaigns, visits from our E-transformer, workshops, or other activities-and were also the first to respond to our invitation (we invited more than 20 schools).

The campaign is part of the celebration of 20 years of ZEOS d.o.o., and our goal is to collect at least 20 tons of e-waste.

Schools will compete for two main prizes:

  • The school that collects the largest total amount of e-waste will be awarded a performance by Slovenian singer Nika Zorjan.

  • The school that collects the most e-waste per student will also be awarded a performance by Nika Zorjan.

Additionally, the class at each school that collects the most e-waste will receive practical prizes.

The campaign will focus on collecting waste appliances of all sizes, with special emphasis on devices containing NdFeB magnets, as these are being collected as part of the Permanet project.
