Description: The Centre for Mineral Technology (CETEM / MCTI - Brazil) will hold on October 14 and 15^th 2021 the 4th INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ELECTRO-ELECTRONIC WASTE (IEWD) event. This is the third year that CETEM promotes the discussion with stakeholders on e-waste management.

This edition of the event will be entirely online and will take place via videoconference with the support of partner institutions that contributed to the realization of the DATARE Project.

Description: We will promote the correct disposal in the city of Natal/RN-Brazil.
In this action, we are going to install 6 electronic waste collectors in partnership with the City of Natal. This action is part of a project in the city that has already collected 5 tons since June 2021.

Description: Green Eletron, as the biggest non-profit take back system of e-waste in Brazil, will have several activities throughout October. Focusing especially on the consumer and respecting all social distancing due to Covid-19, the entity will provide several drive-thrus campaigns in different parts of Brazil to encourage the proper way of discard e-waste .

Also, Green Eletron will reveal the findings of a study about the perception about e-waste in Brazil - the first complex study in the country. As a complement to that, there will be organic campaigns with social media influencers to help raise awareness about the topic.

Description: The social impact startup RECICLOTRON will launch the COPA RECICLOTRON RIO DE JANEIRO on October 14th, as part of the official activities in celebration of the 90 years anniversary of Christ the Redeemer monument, one of the 7 modern wonders of mankind. Copa Reciclotron is a gamified educational campaign that engages participants in a fun competition to mobilize citizens in sustainable actions, encourage the practice of recycling, sustainable consumption, and solidarity. E-waste delivered to collection points and participation in social media is worth RECICLOPONTOS to exchange in the partner network. The winner will be the region that scores the most points. People and companies participating in the event may direct their recycling points and complementary donations to social impact institutions, multiplying the reach of solidarity. Items discarded will be reconditioned and donated to increase digital inclusion in social projects, while unserviceable goods will be disposed of safely.
