This International E-Waste Day we will be raising awareness of e-waste recycling and educating the public about TechCollect - our national e-waste recycling program.
Activities undertaken to promote this important event will take place in Australia and New Zealand and will include:
- the creation of a dedicated web page (hosted on the TechCollect sites) promoting the event, educating the importance of recycling, and directing people where to take their unwanted e-waste;
- media relations targeting national, state and local news channels promoting the importance of the day;
- a comprehensive social media campaign educating people on the importance of recycling and directing them to their nearest drop off locations;
- working with our program members who represent the leading global ICT organisations to further strengthen of messaging;
- working with organizations and community groups who wish to participate on the day.
