Description: ELKO is the leading consumer electronics retailer in Iceland with 5 stores and an online store.

ELKO is launching a IEWD information campaign the 12th of october in all mediums: flyer distributed to all homes in Iceland, social, social story, email marketing, PR and TikTok. The objective of the campaign is to raise awareness both for returning electronic devices for recycling and prolonging their lifetime. Among subjects in campaign are: ELKO starts receiving cables instore from customers for recycling, info about what happens to electronics in recycling along with recycling figures, information about buyback strategy on smart products, prolonging the lifetime of screen devices with instore printed security films, info on recycling cabinets in ELKO, info and link to a blog from ELKO with useful info on prolonging the lifetime on select categories, advertisement on Fairphone which is a sustainable smartphone and info on second hand discounted products offered instore. Also customers get a chance to win money if they return cables for recycling OR sell ELKO a smart product through the buyback strategy.
