Description: On October 21, 2023, a day on the repair and management of waste electrical and electronic equipment was held in Montevideo, within the framework of the International Electronic Waste Day, organized by the Ministry of the Environment of Uruguay.

On this day there was an installation with different Circular Economy strategies for this type of specific devices/waste that included:

1. Repair: a special table of 4 technicians from the “Club de Reparadores x Uruguay” repairing (electronics, small appliances or sewing machines)

2. Reuse: a donation station for reuse

3. Recycling: a device to dispose of WEEE that could not be repaired or donated

4. A station for disused Ceibal equipment (Ceibal is the center of educational innovation with digital technologies of the Uruguayan State).

The event was widely disseminated both on the networks of the Ministry of the Environment, Municipality B, the Repairers Club, and in local media such as news or newspapers.
