Description: This year, with funding and supervision from the PREAL project (for more information you can click here), CNPML El Salvador will undertake various activities to celebrate the e-waste day. These activities will be conducted as part of the "RAEEnovando El Salvador" sensitization campaign.

The activities for E-Waste Day will commence on September 24th and conclude on October 14th. The list of activities is as follows:

  • On September 24th, a special E-Waste Sensitization and Recycling event tailored for children will take place at the 'Parque Infantil de Diversiones.' We have organized entertaining activities designed to raise awareness about the dangers of e-waste and the importance of proper recycling in a fun and engaging manner. The event will feature mimes, dancing groups, giveaways, food, and more to ensure an enjoyable and educational experience for the children

  • During the week of September 25th to 29th, we will visit several public schools and conduct workshops for children. We have developed a children's manual on proper e-waste management and created engaging, playful games to ensure an enjoyable learning experience for the children. The workshops will include contests, giveaways, refreshments, and an enhanced version of the manual.

  • On September 30th, we will host another Sensitization and E-Waste Recycling event, specifically for students and their relatives. The event will take place at Universidad Dr. Andrés Bello and will feature contests, giveaways, refreshments, and more. We are fortunate to have several students participating in their social services as event staff. They are actively involved in making the necessary arrangements to ensure a successful event.

  • Furthermore, we have designed a special E-Waste Collection Box. With this box, we have planned to conduct an E-Waste Collection Tour where enterprises can gather electronic waste from their employees. This initiative will run from September 30th to October 14th

  • Finally, we will create posts to raise awareness about the dangers of inappropriate disposal of e-waste, the advantages of e-waste recycling, and the benefits of its proper disposal. We plan to share this information on our social media platforms and invest in paid advertising. Additionally, we have enlisted the support of influencers, and we will also make appearances on various radio programs to spread the message.
