Erion WEEE, a member of the WEEE Forum, is the largest national Collective Scheme for the management of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment in Italy.
On behalf of its Members, Erion WEEE ensures collection of household and professional WEEE, treatment at authorised facilities, prevention of pollutant dispersion into the environment, and recovery of valuable secondary raw materials for reintegration into production cycles.

Mission and objectives

Erion WEEE operates along the entire value chain with the objective of combining environmental impact reduction with an efficient and sustainable operational model.
The Collective Scheme provides fully traceable and integrated waste management services, dedicated operational systems connecting all actors involved, and continuous support to Producers in implementing EPR obligations and Circular Economy strategies.
In 2025, Erion WEEE managed over 244,000 tonnes of household WEEE, including:
  • 78,700 tonnes of group R1 (cooling and air-conditioning equipment)
  • 117,000 tonnes of R2 (large household appliances)
  • 26,000 tonnes of R3 (TVs and monitors)
  • 22,573 tonnes of R4 (small appliances, IT and consumer electronics)
  • 237 tonnes of R5 (lighting sources)

Additional environmental benefits achieved:

  • 215,000 tonnes of recycled Secondary Raw Materials
  • 815,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided
  • 333 million kWh of energy saved
