Efficiency, quality, innovation. At the service of producers.
Erion WEEE, is a non profit Collective Scheme chosen by the major national and international Producers of EEE (Electrical and Electronic Equipment) to comply in an ethical, certified and cost-effective way with the national legislation on WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Erion WEEE is part of Erion, a multi-compliance system for the management of all waste from electronic products, with a solid heritage in terms of authoritativeness, efficiency and quality. Erion WEEE originates from the strategic vision, experience and success of the two most representative WEEE Consortia, Ecodom and Remedia, which have always been a point of reference for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) systems.
In October 2020, Erion WEEE had 2,318 members.
Mission and objectives
The essence of the Erion WEEE mission is the goal of embodying the best system of EPR in terms of efficiency, quality, transparency and innovation. All values that over time have inspired the work of Ecodom and Remedia, and that Erion WEEE makes its own in order to continue ensuring excellent management of WEEE.
Erion WEEE manages the collection of WEEE from the Collection Facilities, their transportation to carefully selected plants and the subsequent treatment phase, during which the pollutants (which are then disposed of in environmentally safe ways) and the secondary raw materials (destined to be returned to the production cycle) are extracted from the WEEE.
Erion WEEE Producers place great importance on environmental protection. For this reason, the high quality standards of the services provided, the careful use of appropriate safety procedures, the strategic investments in research and development and the constant commitment to the issues of environmental and economic sustainability represent the strengths of the Collective Scheme.
The Consortium’s objectives are:
- to guarantee an extremely high level of service to the Collection Facilities;
- to ensure excellence in environmental protection through a strict selection of suppliers and a continuous monitoring of treatment processes
- to improve its operational and economic efficiency, by optimizing its logistics network and maximizing the recycling of the secondary raw materials (especially iron, copper, aluminum and plastic).
