Mission and objectives
The essence of the Erion WEEE mission is the goal of embodying the best EPR system in terms of efficiency, quality, transparency and innovation, guaranteeing its members an excellent management of WEEE.
Erion WEEE manages the retrieval of WEEE from the Collection Facilities, their transportation to carefully selected plants and the subsequent treatment phase, during which the pollutants (which are then disposed of in environmentally safe ways) and the secondary raw materials (destined to be returned to the production cycle) are extracted from the WEEE.
Erion WEEE Producers place great importance on environmental protection. For this reason, the high quality standards of the services provided, the careful use of appropriate safety procedures, the strategic investments in research and development and the constant commitment to the issues of environmental and economic sustainability represent the strengths of the Collective Scheme.
The Consortium’s objectives are:
- to guarantee an extremely high level of service to the Collection Facilities;
- to ensure excellence in environmental protection through a strict selection of suppliers and a continuous monitoring of treatment processes
- to improve its operational and economic efficiency, by optimizing its logistics network and maximizing the recycling of the secondary raw materials (especially iron, copper, aluminum and plastic).
2021 Erion WEEE figures:
266,614 tons of which: 78,688 tons of R1, 114,721 tons of R2, 49,662 tons of R3, 23,357 tons of R4, 186 tons of R5.
