About Us

The Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) is a North American leader in end-of-life electronics (EOLE) recycling, operating a safe and secure program across Canada. Although created in 2011 by Canada’s electronics industry, the EPRA founding organizations first began collecting and responsibly recycling end-of-life electronics in 2007. EPRA manages a cost-effective, streamlined administration for stewards (manufacturers, distributors and retailers of electronics) in the provinces in which it operates, enabling them to achieve regulatory compliance. Working on behalf of more than 7,000 stewards, EPRA helps prevent electronics from ending up in landfills by providing Canadian businesses and consumers access to secure and convenient e-recycling options through over 2,400 drop-off locations.

Vision

To be recognized in Canada as the leading operator of environmentally responsible, regulated, cost-effective programs for end-of-life electronic products.

Mission

As an industry-led, not-for-profit organization, we enable businesses and consumers to manage their electronics responsibly, and obligated stewards to achieve regulatory compliance.

Our mission is to help the PROs succeed operationally, take back and report e-waste efficiently and be known as members of the world’s foremost e-waste competence centre and as promoters of a circular economy. We engage in the general debate on e-waste policy matters, in Europe and globally.
